PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consults on complex projects and plays a lead technical role on critical projects, which may have cross-pyramid impact to provide project knowledge and expertise to key partners
- Should have hands on knowledge of iOS, Android, HTML5 platforms
- Directs current system and platform analysis and leverages that information for design decisions
- Creates mobile technical solutions based on client’s needs and feasibility
- Prepares recommendations for implementation of the systems solution within TTS
- Provides guidance for the development of mobile technical project design and may prepare technical specifications as needed
- Applies a global approach to technical solutions-both within a business area and across the enterprise
- Understands interrelationships and impacts of systems and applications upon the enterprise wide technical environment
- Ensures solutions are of high quality, high performance and scalable
- Creates and follows technical mobile standards and best practices including repeatable processes and deliverables
- Develops strategic mobility plans and provides technical leadership across multiple projects end to end
- Maintains a current knowledge of the technology industry and determines the impact of hardware and/or software upgrades on new and existing applications
- Maintains a current understanding of the retail industry and provides a technical vision for determining the impact of retail trends for TTS
- Evaluates vendor products for software purchases
- Conducts or oversees proof-of-concept initiatives to prove out solutions
- Performs R&D on mobile platforms as needed and develops standards for new technology areas
- Participates in project planning, estimating and costing
- Communicates project status to all interested parties and ensures team is on track to satisfy client expectations
- Identifies and escalates issues and, when necessary, pulls appropriate teams together to resolve issues
- Prioritizes workload and accomplishes assignments on time, ensuring deliverables are high quality
- Prepares and conducts technical instruction and mentoring for TTS team members
- Supports/Participates in any talent acquisition activities for technical talent
- Completes all administration in a timely and quality manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor in Engineering.
- Hands on Experience of iOS, Android and HTML5 platforms.
- 12 + years systems and programming, technical support or implementation experience in either applications, technical services or telecommunications area
- Strong verbal, presentation and written communications skills for technical audiences; able to explain technical solutions to technical teams
- Good interpersonal, problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills
- Understands the retail business, technology, and the application of technology to our business
