Talent Management (Volunteers)
Location: Chennai
Job nature: Permanent Full-Time
- The applicant would be responsible for the volunteer management nationally. He/she will interact/work with coordinators, volunteers and others, to ensure the organisational goals for volunteers are met.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- National Volunteer Management
- Plan and strategize volunteer recruitment and management nationally
- Coordinate training and development of volunteers nationally
- Facilitate volunteer engagement, feedback, recognition through city teams and manage annual volunteer awards
- Internship Management
- Plan and strategize intern recruitment and management nationally
- Proactively suggest to all stakeholders the roles and responsibilities where interns can be utilized for enhancing the productivity of their team
- Manage interns, facilitate their induction and training, monitor and report their work
Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:
- Volunteer experience with Bhumi / similar organisation - essential, preferably in a HR role
Work experience - essential
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with volunteers
- Any institutional leadership role held/experience would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills - English, Hindi and/or Tamil
- Active on social media to ensure prompt and consistent interaction with volunteers and coordinators - essential
- Proactive, Self-Monitored, Resourceful, Accountable
- Problem solving and Decision-making skills are essential
- Willingness to travel nationally and locally as required
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- High Emotional maturity
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
- Resourceful, responsible and self-starting
