Responsibilities:

Job Description:

MAINTAINING STORE STANDARDS:

1. To visit the store as per the plan decided at the beginning of the month in conjunction with other departments and discussion with the retail manager.

2. Review store for general housekeeping, purchase, repairs, replacement of any store assets.

3. Undertake detailed implementation of merchandising plan for stores as per plan.

4. Review stores as per standard check-list for record books, collectables, documentation related to store operations.

5.Review of staff for a complete customer service standards, staff discipline and motivation.

6. Review of Store Manager for their managerial skills, planning, timeliness,

Sales and Commercial Performance:

1. Prepare and participate in the preparation of sales budgets for The assigned cluster. Ensure budgetary turnover are met timely with proper cost control.

2. Maximize sales and profitability of the concept through clusters stores

3. Maximize productivity targets ( sales per sqft, ATV, Conversion etc)

4. Formulate and implement retail strategies and procedures in discussion with the Line manager or business head.

5. Control costs within budgetary guidelines

6. Identify internal and external commercial opportunities

7. Ensure effective Stock and Space Management

8. Conduct SWOT review to analyse the customer profile

9. Provide monthly feedback on competitor and event activities

10. Suggest improvements based on benchmark practices

Inventory Management & Stock Distribution:

1. Ensure effective Inventory and Warehouse management for the concept in the territory ( order management, stock consolidation, movement and transfer, optimum stock utilization, stock return and shrinkage)

2. Review and analyse stock and sales reports monitoring over and under stocks, implementing corrective action to be taken

3. All defective / damages should be cleared as per the standard norms / Stock checks should be carried out with the inventory team from time to time. All variances are answerable and should be accounted from time to time

4. Review and effectively deal with fast / slow lines, new ranges and end of ranges and implement necessary action

5. Ensure pricing of merchandise as per norms and matrix format

6. Provision of weekly & monthly feedback to Concept on sales, stock positions and product feedback

Business Management & Development:

1. Strategize and seek opportunity for concept expansion in the territory

2. Manage roll-out of new projects and time bound implementation of projects

3. Research and look for good property and locations

4. Understand Territory dynamics (demographics, consumer behaviour, market understanding

5. Coordinate with retail team staff for initial set up.

Operational Standards and Management:

1. Prepare Territory operating plan (new store, seasonal and store) and ensure effective implementation

2. Ensure all the stores are in compliance with the store operating and customer service standards

3. Ensure store Auditing to fix BOE and LP related gaps and resolve.

3. Ensure all the stores are in compliance with the company policy on employment and state laws, health and safety standards

4. Ensure all the stores portrays the company image in all aspects of personal presentation and adheres to the company dress code as laid out by the Company

5. Ensure all store sales, promotions are planned effectively, executed and promptly and maintained professionally

People Management:

1. Manage and support in team recruitment

2. Conduct staff welfare activities (housing and transport)

3. Ensure that all new recruits understand their job and inducted well within the company

4. Assist store manager in grievance handling and disciplinary actions

5. Ensure skill development of showroom staffs through Learning & Development

6. Monitor and appraise the performance of retail staffs in coordination with area retail managers and developing individual career plans.

7. Set KRA's for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal

8. Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees
