Achieve profitable genetic market share growth of Syngenta Flowers genetics in the assigned area. - Develop a deep market knowledge and vision in the region in order to identify and exploit business opportunity faster and better than competition. - Develop and implement 3 year sales plans and individual account plans. - Give input on and execute distributor policy and channel strategies. - Maintain high customer satisfaction and focus on acquisition. Accountabilities : - Management and delivery of the annual Flowers sales budget in line with the defined key performance indicators (sales, operating margin, debt, market shares). - Establish a good understanding of the markets in the designated sales area mapped in market profiles. - Identify and profile the distribution landscape. - Develop go-to-market/channel strategies for the designated sales area based on the market and distributor profiles (what to sell to whom) with a 3-5 years scope. - Develop and implement account plans for the distributors of choice based on the offer elements from the Flowers Wholesale Value Proposition with a 1-3 years scope. - Maintain customer relationships and realize high customer satisfaction by fulfilling the promise made in the customer account plan. - Form and coordinate the customer account team consisting of representatives of Sales, Customer Services, Marketing and Customer Solutions, ensuring delivery of the agreed offer and service levels from the account plan in line with the operational calendar (who does what when). - Set and execute tailored commercial and pricing policies for the assigned accounts, and use the available pricing and rebate tools to drive the desired purchasing behaviour and loyalty. - Responsible for providing the 1-3 years sales forecast for the designated sales area in line with budget and aligned with the forecasting & demand management process. Manage shortages and substitutions in alignment with Sales and Customer Service. - Establish a good network and working relation with the internal stakeholders and secure a proper 2-way information flow contributing to the delivery of the set targets. - Responsible for structural reporting in line with the defined formats and standards. Essential Knowledge & Experience: - Comprehensive knowledge of the agricultural/horticultural industry in assigned area. Critical Knowledge - Bachelor degree or higher in commercial and business management. - Comprehensive knowledge of the horticultural industry Exp - 7 - 20 years Critical Experience - 5+ years sales experience, of which at least 2 years in horticulture - Proven experience and results in dealing with key accounts, writing and executing market profiles, go-to-market/channel strategies and account plans - Demonstrated diplomacy in working across functions and cultures Critical Technical, professional and personal capabilities - Fluent in English and preferably good command in one or more of the languages of the assigned area. - Good analytical skills and excellent account planning skills. - Well-developed communication and presentation skills - Pro-active, self-motivated, action orientated & delivery focussed.
