Please note that candidates for this role will not be eligible for transfers internally to other GE businesses.  Title: HR Generalist - Management Trainee / Assistant Manager  Role Summary/Purpose:   - The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in functional area of employee relations, includes day to day operations of human resource function.   - In addition this role will support HR initiatives. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager  Essential Responsibilities:  - Provide expertise in employee relations, employee engagement, new hire orientation and day to day HR operations requirements.  - Partnership on planning and execution with client groups on HR processes like Performance Management, Salary Planning/Reward Management, Succession Planning and Talent Management.  - Cross-functional communication and the transfer of learning and best practice sharing within the HR network.  - Coaching and counseling to employees regarding HR policies and procedures relative to transfer, promotion, compensation, benefits and conditions of employment.  - Focusing on identification, selection, and retention of best-in-class talent to ensure a dynamic pipeline of talent.  - Serving as an employee advocate, balancing fair labor standards, policy and practice and business needs.  - Partnering with client leadership and local HR counterparts to execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of human resource capital.  - Proactively managing HR systems in order to maintain integrity of employee and organizational data.  - Ensuring a culture of teamwork, partnership and transparency by working closely with all stakeholders.  Qualifications/Requirements:  - Master's degree in Human Resources from an accredited university or college or Minimum 3 years of experience in the Human Resources function as a Generalist HRM preferably with a Master degree in Human Resources.  - Strong facilitation, coaching, influencing and problem solving skills.  - Ability to successfully understand HR practices and identify improvement opportunities, build consensus and drive implementation.  - Strong conflict resolution skills & ability to work independently; manage competing priorities & meet tight deadlines.  - Strong working knowledge of HR policies processes & practices.  - Outstanding communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.  - Should be open to work in evening shifts.  - Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications.  Desired Characteristics:  - Knowledge or experience in IT/ITES industry
