Associate - Research & Insights Key Responsibilities: Our vision is to become a key player in 'alternative data' and hence to help us achieve this goal, you will drive: - Research and development of new knowledge in the domain of alternative data as well as contribute to broader knowledge development and proprietary assets - Showcase our alternative data expertise through development of marketing content such as reports and white papers - Research studies on sector trends (key drivers, dynamics, trends and indicators), emerging themes and company analysis. - Relevant alternative data analysis e.g., mobile app analysis, social media analysis, etc. - Keep abreast of trends and developments in the broader investment markets. Requirements: - Excellent academic credentials and a qualification in finance/ economics/ business/ mathematics from a top-tier institution - 2-4 years of relevant work experience with equities research, consulting, private equity or transaction advisory firms - Good analytical/ problem solving skills, with a logical thought process - to sort, analyse and creatively interpret large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy - Experience in developing financial models and/or market models a major plus but not required - Proficiency in MS Office, strong excel modelling and analytical skills with a curious and creative mindset, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas - Knowledge of analytical and visualization tools and/or programming languages (SQL, R, Python) applied to analytics is preferred - Strong communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources, explain complex analytical relationships in simple terms, present findings in a clear and concise top-down manner - The candidate should be a quick learner and should be up to date with current technology trends.
