Role and Responsibilities : - Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market - Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department in order to promote effectiveness and efficiency - Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers to solve for better procurement metrics and create a share of mind for Swiggy - Serve as the primary contact for procurement related questions, training, policy and procedure interpretation and alignment by all departments - Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance - Own Storefront Availability and Fill Rate metrics, Identify and RCA gaps, provide and execute solutions to plus procurement gaps - Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement - Manage procurement keeping in mind Stock holding limitations and wastage - Manage current procurement policies, procedures and programs with a focus on their ability to enhance organizational value and efficiency; coordinate regularly with respective departments regarding procurement for their understanding and/or recommendations to enhance policies, procedures and develop, communicate and implement new/revised policies, procedures and programs as needed - Report Procurement metrics to leadership at a weekly level Desired Skills : - Heavy focus on execution excellence to deliver industry best procurement numbers - Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels - Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities - Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against execution and ramp up deadlines - Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets - Understanding of FMCG ways for working (TOTs, procurement cycles etc.) - Great Excel Skills
