Team Lead, DMFT PMU


About the Position:


- We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional who is keen on taking up a leadership role in the development sector.


- The Team Lead shall represent Swaniti and will lead a team working in close coordination with District Administration for goals like unemployment reduction, livelihood generation, improving educational outcomes, ensuring healthcare delivery, and poverty reduction.


- The Program manager would have quantifiable targets on how to most effectively deploy and manage programs and resources under the district minerals fund. The key role of leading the Project team would be to strategically identify projects and ensure the appropriate monitoring and impact assessment is done.


- The Team Lead will also have to demonstrate the ability to manage the team effectively. With the support of the team, the Team Lead would be expected to formulate and implement an end-to-end strategy, while maintaining consistent liaising with the district administration.

Qualifications:

1) Master's degree in Economics, Agriculture, Development Studies, Business Studies, or any other related field from Tier 1 institute.

2) Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.

3) At least 4 years of experience in program management, policy research, stakeholder management, and evaluation.

4) Minimum 3 years of experience working with Central/State Government and national organizations in the field of economics, agriculture, or environment.

5) Experience in managing a team of 8-10 persons for a minimum duration of two years.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Relationship Management and Team Building:

1) Team Lead will represent Swaniti Initiative at District Level and function in coordination with the State Projects Lead of Swaniti Initiative. The day to day responsibilities will be carried out in coordination with the district administration and the authorities.

2) Identify key high-impact projects that will result in significant (quantifiable) improvements in the life of those affected by the mining sector activities.

3) Put in place the appropriate monitoring system to assess how ongoing projects are improving quality of life.

4) Build and maintain effective relationships with strategic authorities at the district and state levels to provide them with appropriate reporting of ongoing programs.

5) Respond to any needs of the administration, including providing them with innovative ideas about incoming programs.

6) Establish consistent communication networks with all external and internal stakeholders for immediate course correction measures

7) Document the findings and the best practices and present them at various platforms

8) Building a motivated and skilled team at the district level and managing the same through constructive interventions

Institutionalizing Systemic Changes:

1) The Team Lead will be expected to function as a resource person to the district and come up with recommendations that may support the government in initiating and institutionalizing required structural changes.

Project Planning, Implementation, monitoring, and Evaluation:

1) Conceptualize a wide range of impactful projects and implement the same for the achievement of the goals at the district level.

2) Collaborate with different verticals of Swaniti Initiative in formulating, strategizing, implementing, and evaluating action research projects

3) Develop an impact evaluation matrix for the projects to ensure appropriate monitoring of the program.

4) Work with the Swaniti team to identify innovative programs and projects.

Team Management:

5) Lead and manage a team of 8-10 professionals, providing guidance and support.

6) Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance.

7) Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

8) Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Reporting and Documentation:

1) Prepare regular progress reports, project updates, and other required documentation.

2) Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project activities and outcomes.

3) Maintain proper documentation of project-related information, including contracts and agreements.

Skills and Qualifications:

1) Strong knowledge and understanding of economics, agriculture, or environmental concepts and policies.

2) Demonstrated experience in program management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.

3) Excellent leadership and team management skills.

4) Proficient in conducting policy research and analysis.

5) Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

6) Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

7) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

8) Strong organizational and time management abilities.

9) Proficiency in using MS Office and other relevant software.
