About the Organization

Swaniti Initiative is a non-partisan, social enterprise that delivers development solutions to policymakers and representatives. Swaniti works with State Governments and Parliamentarians across 17 states. Swaniti supports addressing the issues of health, education, gender, water, sanitation, climate change, and livelihood. We work through a three-pronged approach: provide research support on key government programs and initiatives, on-ground implementation insights for delivery of public service, and technological intervention to improve service delivery

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced professional who is keen on working closely with the government in increasing the income of the rural population. The state of Chhattisgarh has a number of FPOs and SHGs that generate a large number of ready products. And thus, has the potential to generate a great amount of revenue for the enterprising population. The professional would be required to lead the endeavor of the organization to catalyze change in the most vulnerable communities of the state. The chosen candidate shall lead a team of Project Managers and Associates to plan, deliver, and monitor interventions in various regions of the state. The State Lead will be reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer and representing Swaniti in the partnership with the state government.

Qualifications :

- The candidate must possess a master's degree in public policy, business administration, rural management, entrepreneurship, public administration, or other alike subjects.

- At least 6 years of work experience and have in-depth knowledge about the development sector

- Preference is given to candidates possessing experience working in consulting roles in a target-based environment.

- Experience in writing proposals, preparing project charter, designing impact assessment framework, and advanced excel

Responsibilities:

- Represent Swaniti at the State Level and engage with both the government and the funding stake holders

- Work with the various ranks of bureaucrats of the state government of Chhattisgarh to increase the systemic efficiency

- Lead a team of Project Managers and Associates who will work with various systemic functionaries and FPOs

- Work with FPOs and SHGs to bring structure in their production and market linkages processes

- Facilitate companies to establish a robust supply chain with the producer groups

- Facilitate the approval of the Action Plans for the aforementioned objectives by the nodal departments of the state government

- Oversee the implementation of the approved projects, through regular field visits and raise flags at appropriate levels in case of potential delays.

- Promote robust mechanism to add value to the chain of supply and build capability of critical stakeholders

- Prepare documentation of success stories, lessons learn and impact at periodic intervals.

- Overall management of the team and its operations

- Any other duties as may be assigned for the purpose of the project

- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently, articulate issues and recommend solutions.

- Strong oral and writing skills in English with effective documentation skills.

- The ability to communicate and write in Hindi is desirable.
