Summary :
- A senior Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Maharashtra is seeking distinguished candidates for the position of Analyst for his parliamentary office.
- The Analyst will aid and advise the Member on matters of State and National policy along with legislative issues.
- The Analyst will report to the Member and will also be responsible for other day-to-day activities of the Member's office.
Essential Job Functions :
- Provide background research and briefings on current socio-political issues.
- Analyze and summarize legislative proposals and bills and provide relevant research material
- Assist the Member in his day-to-day functions in the Parliament
- Research and provide periodic position papers on State/National issues based on directions from the Member
- Identify, analyze issues and prepare action plans to address the pertinent developmental bottlenecks, with a special focus on MPLADs and creating a strategy for effective utilization
- Interface with constituents and ground-level workers and co-ordinate functioning with the office of the Member
- Draft text for speeches, public talks and articles as required by the Member
- Interface with media as and when required by the Member
- Act as the Member's principal liaison and responds to office visits and telephone inquiries from constituents and various interest groups
- Maintain a good working relationship with the Member, Staff, and constituents
- Other activities as directed by the Member or his Chief of Staff
Education/Experience :
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. A Masters Degree in Public Policy/Administration or related fields is highly desirable.
- Candidates with consistently strong academic credentials would be preferred.
- Prior work experience of working in and keen interest in development policy, legislatures or public administration would be preferred.
- Excellent command over English is required.

Terms of Employment :
- Analyst will be based out of an office in Delhi
- Office environment will include a small work station and open floor plan
- Office hours and daily tasks will vary and require flexibility
