Swadhaar FinAccess (SFA) is not for profit organization (Est. 2005) based in Mumbai, India engaged in financial inclusion through the imparting of financial education and the facilitation of access to financial products, especially savings and insurance, to low-income and marginalized communities. Swadhaar FinAccess (SFA) has a presence in Mumbai, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar and will soon be launching operations in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. As steps towards digitization we have developed award winning apps Swadhaar Saathi (Financial Education and Money management app for low literacy users ) and Swadhaar Dost (for field workers). We aim to scale up penetration of these apps. We have programs which we implement with grant funds and through partnerships with Banks and other NGOs. SFA is an implementation partner for the Reserve Bank of India's programme on Centres for Financial Literacy across the country.

Along with the social mission, the organization also believes in sustainability and scalability of the programmes. You will be part of the innovative and dynamic team and have the advantage of leading and scaling up the programmes.

Job Description For Chief Programmes Officer

DESIGNATION : Chief Programmes Officer (CPO)

Reporting to : CEO

Location : Mumbai

Purpose of the role

The CPO will work closely with the CEO to implement, manage and monitor (including reporting to the Board of Directors and Funders) the various financial inclusion programmes nationally. S/he will be directly responsible for programme implementation and reporting on impact whist also assisting the CEO with formulation of strategy and scale up.

Job Responsibilities

1) Organization Operations: Oversee and implement appropriate resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are:

- Implemented and run in line with Project guidelines and objectives

- Responsible for effective administration of the operations.

- Hiring and retention of competent staff.

- Deliver required outcomes as committed to funders, including operated within budgets

- Appropriately and timely reported to CEO/Board of Directors and Funders.

2) Strategic Planning and Budgeting : Work with the CEO and staff to prepare strategic plans and budgets that meet organizational objectives and targeted community outreach specifically:

- Provide inputs for strategic planning, draw up operational plans to ensure that the programs successfully fulfill organizations mission.

- Network with other professional, government and private organizations to collaborate on the field and further organization mission.

3) Fund Raising and Financial viability: Raising adequate resources is important for the success of the organisation's mission and financial health. Whilst the CPO is not primarily responsible for raising resources,

S/he will be required to participate in fund raising efforts through proposal writing, networking and interacting with potential partners/ funders.

4) Financial Reporting & Budgeting : Preparing for the CEO/ Board the financial statements which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization. Prepare annual budgets and project budgets and ensure operations are within approved budgets, ensure maximum resource utilization, maintaining the organization's positive financial position.

Professional Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Post Graduate/ Graduate with relevant experience

Essential:

- Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in Social Sector/ Social Enterprise/Microfinance with a focus towards expansion and sustainability.

- Strong management and presentation skills.

- Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

- Languages: Good communication skills required in English & Hindi both Verbal and Written. Additional Regional language(s) is an advantage.

- Ability to operate with minimum supervision.

- Must be willing to travel within and outside Mumbai, including to rural locations

- Good computer skills

- Interest in technology would be added advantage

- Ability to build, supervise and manage the team
