About the Role | Senior VP - Sales & Marketing (SVPSM)/ Chief Business Officer (CBO)
The organization is trying to solve the problem of improving learning outcomes for every child. This purpose is deeply ingrained in the organization, and it relentlessly remains focused on driving this. This will be achieved when organization and its pathbreaking products reach every child and the entire ecosystem of school owners, principals, and teachers. There is a need to engage and create a thought leadership within the ecosystem and reach out to students through multiple sales channels. The organization sells its products through two key sales channels: B2B institutional sales (selling directly to private schools) and, in partnerships with governments, corporates, and funding agencies (to implement organization's products in government schools) both within India and in many geographies/ countries outside India.
SVPSM/ CBO provides leadership to the growth team (Sales & marketing) and helps them develop a vision, strategy, right knowledge, and the skills to achieve the ambitious growth plan and purpose of the organization.
Success in the role will depend upon building strategies to position the organization as the thought leader in driving learning outcomes for the students. Success will also depend upon creating deep connections with key players within the ecosystem of education. This would require using innovative marketing strategies and reaching out to the target audience using multiple channels and social media. This would also mean building a high performing team, developing, mentoring, and engaging the team to achieve significant growth in revenue targets.
You will fit this exciting role if you have a successful track record of scaling and building brands and growth ideally in the education industry but in any other industry as well. You should have shown leadership in building, driving, and managing a high-performance team. Key Responsibilities
- Developing and driving a growth strategy to achieve 5 x growth in 3 years!
- Implementing a marketing strategy and plan which will position the organisation as the thought leader in impacting learning outcomes. Drives innovation in leveraging social media, technology, and other channels to reach out to the maximum audience at the lowest cost.
- Building, mentoring, preparing, and driving Sales teams of each target segment to achieve revenue goals.
- Drives retention, upselling, cross-selling and re-selling to existing customers through high impact engagement programs.
- Achieves world-class Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- Drives the organisation's way of building a customer relationship. Develops, automates, and standardizes processes and artefacts.
- Contributes to cross-functional collaboration to build future products and services.

Key requirements for the role:
- 10+ years of experience. Significant start-up growth experience.
- Experience in the Ed-tech or K-12 education space preferred
- Experience in driving geometric growth.
