Sutherland is seeking an attentive and analytical person to join us as a Senior Professional, Investment Banking to be responsible for providing quality research support to some of the top Investment Banking and Private Equity client in the Sutherland Research division. Senior Professionals in this role get to: - Take the lead: Support team in delivering client requests which will ultimately help end-clients in Idea Generation, Pre-Mandate Work & Pitch books and Deal Execution - Strengthen relationships: Independently handle Investment Banking and Private Equity clients with minimal supervision - Typical deliverable include: Pitch Books, Operational & Financial Bench-marking, Precedent Transaction Analysis, Industry / Sector / Company Studies, Financial Modeling & Valuation and Investment Memos / Confidential Information Memorandums - Keep Sutherland aligned: Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields related to area of responsibilities - Keep management updated: Interpret, analyze and summarize complex data and turn it into insightful presentations / charts from a Buy-Side Research perspective To succeed in this position, you must: - Be a MBA Finance and/or a Chartered Accountant - Have at least four years of prior experience in Private Equity / Investment Banking M&A Advisory Research - CFA Charter holder a plus - Be organized and have ability to multi-task - Be efficient in Microsoft Office products; good MS Excel and MS Power point skills - Be able to work in a fast-paced environment - Have strong analytical skills; be able to interpret data, identify trends, and make suggestions for improvements - Be pro-active in developing trust and professional rapport with employees and team members; work as a team-player - Have strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to communicate in a clear, constructive, and professional manner
