About our client: Our client is a multinational group in pharmaceutical segment. Their corporate office in India is based at Mumbai with manufacturing plants in Goa, Mumbai and so on.

Job designation: Manager - Supply chain

Job location: Mumbai (corporate office)

Job description:

There are two openings - for direct material and indirect material

Position Details

- Independently manage and support all purchases of Indirect/ direct materials, including services for all manufacturing locations.

- Ensure availability of material as per plan and comply system requirements.

- Responsible for source identification, floating of purchase enquiries, obtain quotations and finalize techno commercial proposals.

- Should be able to source, negotiate and procure the Indirect/ direct Material.

- Is responsible for Procurement of Indirect/direct material. Deal with consultants, government authorities and other agencies to ensure the compliance in place.

- Ensure continuous improvement in supplier cost, quality and service by:

- Cultivate supplier/vendor relationships.

- Should have capacity for expansion of supplier/vendor & new supplier/vendor.

- Negotiate with suppliers/vendor to obtain the best and lowest prices. Mitigate all supplier/vendor related issues.

Educational Qualifications:

- Any Graduate with or without Post Graduate in Diploma In Material Management OR MBA in Material Management

- Excellent PC skills with exposure preferably to a SAP environment and natural flair for being technology oriented

Professional Experience:

- Must have 8-10 Years Experience in Indirect/ direct material Procurement. Must have worked for MNC culture.

- Must have good knowledge of vendor development and responsible for Procurement raw material as per the planning.

- Should have good communication skill and leadership quality.

- Should be responsible for Vendor development.

Competencies Expected:

- Knowledge of procurement of indirect Materials

- ERP software (SAP)

- Ready to work with team and decision making

- Leadership quality

- Good Command over communication

- Excellent Analytical skill
