- Asia Service Centre (ASC) provides services in Business Operations, Contact Centre and Technology to Sun Life business units across the globe. We have more than 2,500 members across our centers in India and Philippines. In India, ASC has 650+ members delivering on data, digital and core technologies. Role:&nbsp; - The role is of a delivery manager of IFRS-17 data program. The role will require to plan, communicate and operationalize for any delivery on IFRS-17 from ASC. The role will require interacting with stakeholders across teams and take accountability for delivery for quality, timeliness and change management. Accountability:- Strategy and Planning - Understand business drivers, strategic direction behind the creation of new team to be created at service centre. - Create and manage a detailed strategic plan for the IFRS-17 teams which includes how to manage team across different delivery pod. - Create a long term view for support and operations. Delivery and Execution:&nbsp; - Create delivery plans for managing project for quality and timelines - Manage milestones, budget and quality of outcomes - Identify, raise and plan for the risks in deliveries - Establish a communication plan with stakeholders and ensure cadence through regular reporting - Own delivery for outcomes of the teams while the capability is in incubation phase - Actively seek opportunities to optimize and improve delivery processes as teams are being set at ASC Others:- Actively participate in the delivery management community, sharing and re-applying skills &amp; knowledge and bringing in best practice. Experience : - 12+ years of progressive technology experience, including experience in delivering and providing governance of technology projects - 5+ years of hands-on delivery management experience on large / complex projects in different methodologies, commercial models etc. - Prior experience in a shared service or organizational matrix model Functional Competencies:- - Strong experience in delivering at-least 2 projects in AWS data ingestion projects using AWS data lake technologies like Glue, EMR, Redshift - Must have delivered at-least 2 DWBI,, ODS &amp; client 360 solutions using Informatica (ETL), Oracle &amp; scheduling tools like Control-M / Autosys. - Project governance and offshore project delivery experience (full life cycle all the way to transition to operations teams) in data integration projects - Strong experience of leading DevOps &amp; automation initiatives within the data deliveries - Prefer to have exposure to leading data implementation on AWS cloud platform - Knowledge on financial projects ( IFRS-17) products is an added advantage - Understanding of technology and its implications to the team and outcome - Ability to work with technical team(s) to define solution and drive project execution plans. - Strong skills in identifying, analyzing, and responding to delivery risk - Strong consulting skills, ability to build consensus and drive decisions - Ability to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination and storage of delivery information - Ability to make the most effective use of all the people involved with the project - sponsors, customers, individual contributors, and others. - Passion to improve processes, tools, methods in constructive manner, continuously look for opportunities and bring solutions Behavioral Competencies:- - Self-starter - A confident, self-starter who can completely - own- delivery and can work independently as well as being a strong team player - Expert written and verbal communications skills; Draws conclusions and effectively communicates findings with both technical and non-technical team members, providing active leadership skills across project team and business community. - Trust - Ability to work in an open culture with a positive approach - Flexibility - Ability to accept change, agility - Collaboration with multiple stakeholders across line of business and reporting structures - Effective relationship builder with skills to influence and drive decisions - Focuses on the client; Recommends potential solutions for client problems; Focuses on surfacing underlying client issues and identifying root causes - Takes steps to understand decision making processes and procedures - uses this understanding in developing work plans - Escalating issues or redirecting enquiries in a timely and efficient fashion. - Works without supervision for day-to-day matters.
