Sun Petrochemicals - Investment Analyst

The role is responsible for working on identification and evaluation of investment opportunities for a family-owned fund and making recommendations to senior management for investment. It includes identification, execution & closure of investment transactions and periodically monitoring the performance of the portfolio post investment.

Responsibilities:

Opportunity identification & screening:

i. Identify emerging areas of investments and sector trends

ii. Identifying and screening investment opportunities in unlisted companies, funds (PE/VC/Alternative Investments) etc

iii. Develop relationship with various external stakeholders to obtain potential investment ideas/ opportunities

Analysis and Due Diligence:

i. Business and financial analysis of investment targets including review of sector, business, competition, operating metrics, financial statements, etc

ii. Preparation of financial models, internal reports, business cases and proposals for internal review and investment decisions

iii. Participating in the due diligence processing.

Transaction Execution:

i. Supporting end to end execution of transaction

ii. Reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation

Post Investment Monitoring:

i. Periodic monitoring of active investments and preparation of periodic performance updates for senior management

ii. Assessment of performance of passed investment opportunities and validation of thesis for investment decisions
