Director - SEO (Organic Search)

We are looking for an Associate Director/Director - Organic Search who is passionate about the discipline of organic search with a desire for operational excellence. We would like a deeply hands-on, experienced professional with experience in organic strategies, processes, analytics and a clear history of exceeding goals.

SEO Processes (~80%) :

SEO Expertise :

- Serve as the SEO Expert and guide short-term (quarter) and annual roadmaps that deliver traffic growth, while being consistent with the range of business listings and ad listings that Sulekha provides.

- Oversee the SEO team and provide well-defined strategies for the top 50,000+ keywords that need improvements

- Formulate and articulate SEO strategies/knowledge to the team members to create a well-trained team

SEO Monitoring :

- Implement world-class tools and processes to monitor the overall 20 lakh+ keywords where Sulekha seeks to outperform its competitors and provide a scalable way of managing these lakhs of keywords and related SERP values

- Recommend a range of tools and processes to improve Sulekha's monitoring of keywords and improve them

SEO Execution : Define the workflow of internal SEO employees and outsourced vendors who work in a range of on-page and off-page work and manage this large team of 100 team members for effective management of SEO across the company's different products

User engagement : Drive multiple methods to make SEO users engage more and drive further increases in SERP

Testing & Feedback : Continuously test different approaches and provide feedback to internal product heads

Others (~20%) :

Competitive Analytics : Measure and benchmark Sulekha performance against both existing Indian competitors and other local service providers in USA/Europe/Asia etc for the PC Web and Mobile Web separately for SEO

Innovation : Participate in a range of discussions to evolve the Sulekha product further, in consonance with the product leaders

Desired Skills :

Professional :

- Engineering/MBA from premier institutes

- SEO leadership experience of at least 6+ years

- Project/Program management experience of at least 2+ years in the past

- Experience of managing minimum 40 to maximum 400 people in SEO

Personal :

- Track record of delivery, goal oriented along with ability to sets clear priorities and meets deadlines

- Positive, initiative driven, motivating and a natural leader

- Result oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated

- Ambitious and flexible

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Other aspects :

- Reports into the VP-Product / Director-Product

- Must be based out of Chennai and willing to travel if required

- Mostly individual contributor with 1-2 people reporting into this role
