Job Description & Expectations

We are looking for a digital marketing manager to spend for acquiring and retaining consumers and service partners on multiple digital media - with a primary focus on Google SEM.

He/she will closely to market, acquire and retain consumers and SPs in a cost-effective and ROI-focused manner to help Sulekha achieve its local services goals.

SEM Digital Marketing

a. Proficiency and expertise on acquiring consumers and businesses at significant scale across thousands of keywords and campaigns. These campaigns should achieve desired CPA/CPL for Sulekha at scale for hundreds of city-subcategories.

b. Experience in spending lakhs/crores of rupees p.m. in Google SEM across all its variations including search, DSA and associated tools for monitoring. Hands-on experience of setting up campaigns and monitoring campaigns is vital

c. Reporting on campaigns through vital excel hacks and other methods to manage at granular level - and also report at aggregated levels to senior management.

d. Hands-on work for both campaign implementation and campaign reporting will be essential. 1 or 2 junior executives can be made available to assist campaign setup/monitoring/reporting etc. However primary ownership of SEM spends will decide on this managerial position which we are hiring.

Non-SEM digital marketing

a. Expertise in spending across a variety of other channels including Facebook, Google Display, Instagram would be essential to acquire consumers and businesses as desired by Sulekha in different city subcategories at desired CPA/CPL.

b. SMS/App/Email marketing at scale to businesses in order to achieve business remarketing goals on an individualized/category level - to innovate on messaging and targeting to achieve these goals

c. Remarketing to both businesses and consumers to achieve desired objectives across multiple platforms including Google and Facebook expertise is essential

d. Measuring and growing brand campaigns including video campaigns as desired by Sulekha marketing teams - with prior knowledge of spending lakhs/crores p.a. in this area.

Other aspects

a. Deep knowledge of digital platforms including Google Analytics, Adword tools, Email and SMS tools is vital - along with quickly understanding Sulekha's internal tools to achieve consumer and business spending objectives

b. Work closely with other stakeholders like brand marketing, sales teams and customer service teams to achieve spend related objectives

c. Manage a small team that is tuned towards high impact spends with an obsessive focus on ROI

d. Communicate to other stakeholders on key achievements/efforts on weekly/monthly basis as desired

Professional and Personal Attributes

- 5+ years of marketing and sales experience in a digital / SaaS organization with acquisition of consumers and businesses in the tens of thousands or millions p.m.

- Deep knowledge of consumer / business acquisition tools with expertise across marketing spends in social, search, affiliates and other digital forms of acquisitions

- 5+ years of experience in digital campaign communication including the varieties of communication methodologies - including direct hands-on experience in creative communication (besides working with partners/agencies to help in improving the communication drafts)

- 5+ years of experience in managing team members with a wide variety of roles including marketing, product (if feasible)

- Good analytical knowledge including working knowledge of large data analysis to help analyze campaign outcomes

- Should possess an innate love of data and ability to see new patterns that impact business

- Positive, initiative driven and passionate about digital marketing

- Result oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated

- Ambitious and flexible

- Excellent communication and presentation skills - particularly in English and spoken Hindi and 1 regional language

Other aspects

- Reporting to consumer marketing

- Must be based out of Chennai with limited travel

- Mostly working out of office - once COVID threat siezes
