Manager / Asst. Manager - Human Resources

Reporting to the Senior Director - Talent & Productivity, you will work closely with senior business leaders and HR team to build Sulekha as a powerhouse of Talent and an Employer of choice. You will play a pivotal role in creating and overseeing the delivery of Talent management initiatives and Talent Programs within Sulekha to help define and implement a talent strategy consistent with the company's business ambitions. This key HR role will also be actively be involved in Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development functions, including new employee orientation, thus facilitating leadership development and building capabilities across all levels.

You will actively collaborate and engage with the Sulekha Leadership team and Business Heads in planning, implementing and evaluating tactics designed to increase high performer retention, building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline, strengthening leadership practice and increasing employee engagement within Sulekha.

Key Job Responsibilities:

HR Management Systems:

- Collaborate with Senior Director - HR to define and maintain comprehensive HR management systems

- High analytical capability to create HR dashboards - weekly, monthly and annually

- Ability to view data critically and identify action items as a corrective method to improve team/ company performance

- Monitor HR metrics (e.g. attendance, turnover rates and cost-per-hire)

- Identify opportunities for automation in HR processes and create the plan for execution

Talent Management:

- Design, develop and implement innovative and highly effective talent processes within Sulekha to support the translation of this talent strategy into robust action.

- Provide direction and oversee the effective utilization and implementation of Talent programs

- Conduct research on employee satisfaction (e.g. using surveys and quantitative data)

- Get to know key talent in each area and provide additional coaching and mentoring ; Take charge of Career Development Plans and Facilitate development dialogues, provide perspective on collaborative projects, cross-functional moves and other developmental opportunities

- Develop University relations and enable sourcing of young Tech/ Product/ Functional Talent

Organizational Development:

- Deliver strategies and actions plans aimed at employee engagement and retention

- Act as a change agent and play a key role in efforts related to organizational culture building and collaboration across teams

- Actively contribute to employee communication and change management activities

- Establish and maintain productive business partnerships outside vendors, organizations, associations, consultants, and other resources to leverage on industry best practices in Organizational Development

Performance Management:

- Create and drive a performance-based culture within Sulekha , being closely involved in overseeing the implementation of the Sulekha Performance management process

- Coordinate and ensure consistent & qualitative deployment and output from these.

- Develop and oversee a system of effective performance reviews, which links individual performance to organizational outcomes, values and core capabilities

- Work with business leaders to Identify the core capabilities required for excellent performance in each position

- Drive development and implementation of targeted employee training & development programs to address any gaps in capabilities

- Developing communication and methods for educating employees on learning programs and resources.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Develop compensation and benefits plans

- Work with business to roll out annual compensation reviews

- Conduct market research on compensation structures in the market

- Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees

- Draft job descriptions

- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs

New Employee Orientation:

- Design and take ownership to deliver effective new employee orientation programs towards enhancing productivity, delivery and socialization of the new recruits with 100% coverage of the new recruits across Sulekha

- Own the first 90 days' engagement agenda to create personal alignment, team-connect, enable manager coaching, thus establishing bonding with and pride about association with Sulekha

Education, Experience and Skills:

- Proven work experience as a Senior HR Manager or similar role

- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (including payroll systems and ATS)

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. At least 10 years of human resource management experience.
