Position Overview:

As the Finance Head, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy of Sugar.fit. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. The Finance Head will provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and collaborate with various departments to drive business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare and present timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports to CEO and other stake holders.

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in all financial reporting activities.

- Drive the strategic planning process, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and capital allocation.

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.

- Provide recommendations to the CEO and other executives based on financial analysis and projections.

- Implement continuous improvements in financial planning processes to adapt to the evolving needs of the business and industry.

Cash Flow Management:

- Develop and implement effective cash flow forecasting models, ensuring visibility into short-term and long-term cash needs to support operational requirements and strategic initiatives.

- Collaborate with operational teams to optimize working capital management, including inventory levels, receivables, and payables, to enhance overall liquidity.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing risk mitigation strategies.

- Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting the financial landscape.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Effectively communicate financial performance and insights to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.

- Act as a liaison between the finance team and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, providing necessary documentation, and fostering positive relationships.

- Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate efficient and accurate audits, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

- MBA or CA or any other professional finance qualification preferred.

- Proven experience of 8 years plus in a senior finance role Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.

- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools.

- Experience in startups is a plus.
