Position : Head of Engineering/Vice President - Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities :
- We are looking for passionate & visionary Engineering Leadership someone familiar with Java, Microservices and Cloud Technology Stack. This role will be responsible for leading entire R&D engineering team in a fast-growing Telecom - AI Company based in Bangalore.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shaping up and experience in leading high performance engineering team focus on developing large scale SAAS B2B Telcom & Enterprise products.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications), MBA would be a plus.
- 15+ years of relevant experience of managing a high-performance engineering organization of reasonable size catering to multiple products/platforms and customers.
- Knowledge of telecom architecture is a big plus.
- Lead and manage a high-performing engineering teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. Building Software Platforms involving cutting edge technologies like AI / ML, Big Data / Analytics products using Open-Source technologies.
- Familiar with Java Spring/Boot based microservice architecture for private as well as public cloud - AWS, GCP etc.
- Familiar with Bigdata Ecosystem Technologies (Hive, HDFS, Scoop, Spark, Pig, Map Reduce, Yarn, Hbase Nifi).
- Practitioner of software engineering principles and procedures, and especially Agile management principles.
- Work closely with Product Management organization to ensure all groomed features are well engineered using solid engineering principles and agile processes.
- Identify competency gaps across the teams and build the right talent including next level managers, and technical architects to build a high-performance team.
- Build a strong product architecture team with additional focus on building cloud native application architectures.
- Complete a Key Talent review of all the engineering talent and ensure KTR attrition is <5%.
- Bring superior product engineering practices wherever needed to ensure the teams remain agile and outcomes are superlative.
- Build a tight ship of 50-75 high performing talent to evolve B2B SAAS platform and its roadmap to next level.
- Strong working relationship with other functional leaders across Sales, Presales, Product Management, Marketing, Delivery, Customer Success and Customer Support functions.
- Customer/Partner relationships at key levels enabling joint long term functional planning with customer and partners.
