Responsibilities:

The Capital Markets group is specifically responsible for all structured lending transactions booked in New York. Capital Markets is also responsible for all derivative and structured trading transactions

The role will focus primarily on helping originate structure, execute, and maintain structured lending transactions. Collateral will be primarily equity and fixed income securities, but will also include HF and PE collateral, pre-IPO shares, as well as other forms of collateral. The role will also help facilitate derivative and structured trading transactions. The role will be based in Mumbai and will be an extension of the New York team.

The role would include:

- Conduct analysis of hedge fund and private equity holdings including but not be limited to review of strategy, liquidity, volatility, diversification, performance

- Asses various types of lending proposals; analyze assets classes to serve as collateral, review financial and cash flow statements

- Assess credit worthiness of borrower and collateral

- Analyze and stress test portfolio of assets to serve as collateral

- Reviewing loan documents and credit underwriting guidelines to ensure transactions adhere to policies

- Underwrite risk of structured lending transactions

- Make lending recommendations based upon underwriting guidelines

Requirements:

- 2-5 years- experience as a structure of complex transactions, preferably lending transactions; if outside CS, preferably in Private Banking at a global bank or broker- dealer;

- Excellent lending underwriting skills and understanding of lending transactions

- Strong structuring skills. Understand complex transactions and borrower organizations

- Ability to explain complex transactions in simple fashion to key stakeholders

- Ability to perform collateral and borrower analysis.

- Has general knowledge of security based lending documentation. Understands lending legal documentation

- Understanding of US equity regulations, especially those that affect equity backed lending transactions

- General understanding of derivative and other capital markets transactions
