Structured Finance Analyst

Job Title : Analyst - Structured Finance

Location: Kuwait

Reporting to : Head of Structured Finance

Job Purpose

To assist PIC and other partners in reviewing, analyzing, structuring, and all other related tasks of various proposals.

Key Result Areas

- Conducts due diligence on proposals and/or projects as directed by team head

- Conducts independent assessment of counter-parties and present to investment committee for its consideration & approval

- In coordination with team head, to participate on the structuring of proposals and the preparation of contracts, letter of intents and other related documentation.

- Conducts financial analysis of corporate finance transactions and preparation of information memorandum

- Responsible for holding the documentation integrity of all deals

- Monitors back office controls on deal follow up, like: covenants, periodical reports, field visits, etc.

- Carries out other job related duties as required by the team head

- Guidelines are clear but ways of doing business continue to develop

- Receives direction but has discretion on how to work effectively in a complex, multi cultural environment

- Agreed procedures and processes determine the performance of his function

Communications and Working Relationships

- Internal – All staff

- External - With clients for gathering of information in coordination with team head

Problem Solving

- Willing and able to find solutions for creative structuring and to overcome any problem or difficulty when conduction due diligence.

Decision Making Authority and Responsibility

- In constant consultation with the team head and others, he can make decision on issues related to the underlying project.

Knowledge Skills and Experience -

- Education: CA/CFA/MBA (Finance)

- Experience:

- About 3 years in a Bank/Investment Company as investment analyst or in a management consultancy firm engaged in corporate advisory services (Due diligence, business valuations, mergers & acquisitions).

- Computer knowledge: Excel – a must, other – essential.

- Excellent oral, written and presentational skills
