Assistant Manager /Manager Legal @ Stride One

Legal team is an important part of the business helping Stride One, an NBFC, achieve its goals. The team is responsible for assisting Stride One, accurate and risk mitigating legal documentation aligned with Stride One's best interests and guided by Stride One's ethical standards of doing business. The team responds to high priority engagements and works on challenging legal issues from a Lending standpoint in a fast-paced environment.

Role brief:

We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager / Manager for the Legal team at StrideOne in Gurgaon. Ideal candidate needs to be a LLB graduate with minimum 4yrs PQE in an NBFC, Bank, Financial Institution doing lending to corporates.

Core requirements include:

1. Handling day-to-day and contracting for an NBFC or Bank in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide array of commercial contracts, including Facility Agreements, Term Loan Agreements, T&Cs and working capital loans.

2. Thorough and nuanced review of contract documents to undertake risk identification and propose commercially viable mitigations.

3. Ability to strategizing with business teams on new product (lending) portfolio.

4. Keeping a regular tab on RBI guidelines and other important government mandates related to NBFC and Banking and Financial institution sector.

5. Experience in dealing with collection agencies, 3PL vendors and collection suits from a lender's perspective.

6. Manage relationships and processes with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifying Criteria:

1. Bachelor's/PG degree in law from a premium law college with 4 to 6 years of experience.

2. Combination of in-house experience with core Lending organisations, Bank or an NBFC.

3. Strong subject matter knowledge and foundation in commercial law and contract negotiation.

Skills:

1. Impeccable integrity - ethical and honest in all respects.

2. Self-starter having attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

3. Be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities and projects with firm deadlines.

4. Ability to keep composure under pressure.

5. Strong English written and verbal communication skills.

6. Entrepreneurial mindset.
