Strategy Lead – Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) vertical

The BFSI Vertical Strategy Lead is responsible for devising strategies and plans for the BFSI vertical for IT Business. S/He is responsible for building vertical specific organic and inorganic (Mergers & Acquisition) growth plans for attaining the overall Applications & BPO business goals in terms of growth, profitability, capability development, investments, and vertical specific solutions.

Responsibilities

- Understand the industry landscape and competitive positioning for various industry segments under the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance vertical

- Work closely with the BFSI Vertical Head to devise vertical specific strategies in line to meet overall goals for the Applications and BPO business

- Identify and develop strategies for the target markets, target customers and required industry specific solutions for various sub-segments under the BFSI industry vertical within Applications and BPO business.

- Identify key capability gaps and develop roadmaps to overcome the same to improve competitive positioning as it relates to the Applications and BPO business

- Participate in the vertical’s strategic and operational planning process including resource and investment planning

Profile of a desirable candidate

- Overall 8+ years of experience with minimum 5+ years of experience in BFSI vertical of leading IT companies in similar role (Corporate/ Strategic Planning functions)

- Strong understanding of BFSI business processes, emerging technologies and changing market dynamics

- Deep knowledge about competitor approaches/strengths in BFSI verticals

- Experience and ability to work with global teams and with senior leadership

- Good articulation and presentation skills

- Proactive thinker with strong organization and communication skills

- MBA from tier-1 Business Schools
