Role Description : This individual would play a senior leadership role at the Deal Advisory and Strategy practice. He would be reporting into the Partner of Deal Advisory and Strategy practice and would lead the Strategy team, which is a team of ~80 skilled strategy consulting practitioners. This team is a part of Global Strategy Group (GSG), the global strategy advisory arm of the company.

Detailed KPIs :

Strategy Team leadership :

- Build the vision for the Strategy practice

- Be the central point of contact for Strategy - driving easier strong relationships and engagement between member firms & client account leaders

- Envision and implement structures and processes that facilitate growth (product quality, capabilities, systems)

- Originates and converts a pipeline of business via detailed structure business development plans across the Global Strategy Group (GSG)

- Develops and maintains a strong network of GSG and wider contacts

- New product/solution development/thought leadership, in line with the vision for future growth

- Overall responsibility and accountability for business profitability whilst managing risk

- Sets-up/facilitate the development and ongoing improvement of quality measures in the team

- Lead the design and conduct of new Strategy propositions and other major initiatives

- Be the people leader & develop & implement strategies for Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention

- Actively develop and embody the culture and values of the group

Strategy Project Delivery :

- Spends at least 20-30% of time delivering/leading projects with global clients in the identified sectors/propositions, working with onshore teams

- Provide technical leadership by helping project team create a hypothesis, draw structure & plan. Also, provides review bandwidth to other team members on their projects as required

- Serve as the Anchor that represents company on the Key Sector Communities & the Top Accounts within the Sector

- Drives best practices to ensure the continued trajectory in integration with global member firms

- Actively collaborate with other service lines to deliver client excellence through a - One Firm- mindset

Initiatives :

- Be an integral part of the Deal Advisory Executive Council (Council governs various initiatives pan Deal Advisory & Strategy within company)

- Lead one domain for Deal Advisory Executive Council

- Strategic initiatives - Deal Advisory and company Level

Experience : 14+ years of strategy consulting experience, with required exposure to global clients (US / UK a plus). Experience with working with consulting offshoring set-up would be a plus but not a mandatory requirement.

Technical skills :

- Hands-on strategy delivery experience is a must. Further exposure to two or more core strategy propositions is required (strategy propositions may include Market Growth/Entry, Pricing, Commercial Due Diligence, Operational Due Diligence etc.)

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills, and sound commercial acumen

- Exposure to Data Analytics as part of delivering strategy engagements will be a PLUS.

- Proficient with synthesis and messaging

- Experience of leading project teams and running proposals

- Client management skills

- Able to engage stakeholders in a broad range of business topics, propositions while drawing parallels from other markets and sectors

- Education - MBA

- Personal drive and positive work ethics to deliver results

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Effectively create his or her visibility with senior partners across the KPMG Network.

- Ability to plan and prioritize; meet tight deadlines

- Coaching and mentoring as well as the ability to connect with the team members at different levels is a must.
