Introduction to the Role: Info on BU & Department
The Strategic Supply Chain Manager is responsible for identifying, coordinating and optimizing the end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain process while ensuring the highest level of customer service to all automotive customers with competitive cost and delivery. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, influencing and communication skills along with technology bent to drive manufacturing and supply chain process improvements
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies for automotive business to improve overall customer experience and achieve profitability targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, align inventory levels, and manage stock availability to meet customer demands.
- To work with operations team to ensure the manufacturing cost, procurement and achieve product level profitability.
- Lead monthly & quarterly demand & supply review with stakeholders to ensure achievement of cost & customer service metrics i.e., availability and inventory optimization.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive actions.
- Oversee customer experience function; work with customer experience team to improve and systemize the processes on Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP).
- Build a connect with suppliers for seamless supply management and for driving several initiatives like vendor managed inventory model.
- Liaise with global teams, monitor market trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to adapt supply chain strategies accordingly.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science; a master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience of 10+ years preferably in Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP), strategic supply chain management, manufacturing with a minimum 5 years in leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management & customer experience management processes.
- Experience in leading supply chain improvement projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication, negotiation & team management skills.
