Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Capability Role - Outsourced Manufacturing

You'll be working with a deep-tech Energy Management start up focused in the EV space. The company's mission is powered by our proprietary technology, Flexible Energy Stack that enables the seamless flow of energy between the grid and vehicle.

You'll be part of the Strategic Sourcing team. This team runs on coffee, supplier evaluations, partnership agreements and production order books. The team has an infectious passion for building deep and engaging partnerships with our suppliers, vendors and partners.

What you will do :

- Work closely with the Product Development teams and Outsourced Manufacturing Partners to take the flexible energy packs to market.

Responsibilities :

- Identify and evaluate potential Manufacturing Partners and work with them to evaluate suitable engagement and business models and establish an agreement

- Plan and execute capital expenditure in conjunction with Manufacturing Partners and commission necessary equipment, facilities and tooling

- Work with Manufacturing Partners to setup supply chain for BOM elements, as well as delivery supply chains for finished goods

- Work closely with Manufacturing Partners to ramp up their production facilities and ensure that they are meeting necessary demand plans

- Build out an operational team and process to ensure that the Manufacturing Partnerships are operating within required cost, service levels and quality standards

- Continuously improve the capabilities of Manufacturing Partners to support new product development as needed

The ideal candidate would have :

- Understanding or past experiences in product development, manufacturing project management or strategic sourcing (especially with third party manufacturers)

- Understanding of the principles of 'should costing', capital budgeting and manufacturing operations

- Capability to develop and build business models for manufacturing partners and strong communication and influencing skills to pitch the same to them

- Understanding or experience in setting up supply chains and processes involved in them, as well as overseeing a production/procurement/fulfilment operation
