Job Details : Location : Gurgaon Grade : Manager Role : Corporate Function Name : SCM Division/ Dept: : Strategic Sourcing Reports to : Category Manager - Strategic Sourcing Reported by : Individual Contributor Work Timings : Standard CTC : Industry Standards Experience : 5+ yrs of exposure in sourcing automotive/engineering products in a system oriented company Education : B.Tech Electrical/Electrical & Electronics / EnC Financial Dimensions : Approx. 3000 Mill INR As support provider - - Interaction with Deployment, Operations, Maintenance and ESH to ensure their business needs are met on time - Interaction with all 16 Circle SCM Heads to provide required support and eventually ensure that all centrally rolled out projects are being executed on time and in line with the laid down guidelines/processes As support seeker - - Interaction with Technology to get all technical documents/specifications required to initiate sourcing process, Product/Proto Approval, Partner Approvals etc. - Interaction with Operations for timely KPI sign-off - Interaction with Finance to ensure partners are being paid on time - Interaction with Legal to make sure all contractual terms are vetted legally before getting signed off External interactions : Interaction with concerned infra partners to ensure timely delivery of goods/services Knowledge Required : Sourcing professional with experience in diverse industries. i.e. Automotive / Oil & Gas / Steel / Telecom / Consulting ; Strong insight of Market and Partners will help achieve optimum cost level Skills / Competencies : Utilise Sourcing strategy for getting best of finished goods and services. Need to be a tough negotiator and should have awareness of contractual and legal terms and conditions. ; Strategic Sourcing professional need to be exposed with the upcoming technologies and regulatory challenges Principal Purpose of the Job Responsibilities encompass assisting category managers in developing and implementing sourcing strategy for respective "Category" and thereby delivering benefits through cost reduction initiatives. The role requires constant monitoring of supply market, trends and partner base to modify strategy or devise new sourcing strategy to derive maximum benefits and to meet internal business needs. 1. Strategic Sourcing Category includes - AC Products- PIU, SP/SPS, Stabilizer, BMS, Dual DG AMF Panel, Super Capacitor Module, ACDB Energy Storage - VRLA Lead Acid Batteries. Responsibilities includes - a) Assist category sourcing in formulating strategy by conducting in-depth spend analysis Conduct Market discovery, Source discovery and Price discovery b) Conduct RFI and RFP in case resourcing is required - Detailed ""Zero based costing"" and ""Activity based costing"" in order to arrive on ""Should be Cost"" - In depth analysis of Total Cost of Ownership to enable Go/No-go decision - Recommend proposal and seek approvals from designated authorities as per DoA c) Knowledge of Power Management System and there procurement d) Ensure availability of uninterrupted Supply base capable of meeting the cost, quality & delivery requirements) e) Continue developing low cost products/services and sources thereof which would entail to lower capex spend. 2. Cost Control - Material and Services a) Monitoring Supply market, Raw Material Trends and leverage it suitably for cost reduction b) Support in cost reduction initiative such as New source identification, Partner Consolidation, Contract re-negotiation, and Value Engineering etc c) Identify and introduce new domestic and global capable partners d) Monitor and report value tracking for the category - budgeted v/s actual savings 3. Energy Projects a) Support Technology/Energy team in devising right products/solutions for the outcomes identified/planned under Energy initiatives b) Assist Category manager in formulating sourcing strategy for aforesaid products/solutions c) Identify and introduce new domestic and/or global capable sources d) Conduct RFI and RFP e) Conduct fact based negotiations with potential partners f) Monitor delivery and ensure it is as per the schedule/plan g) Support all Circles/Functions in implementation 4. Asset Integrity a) Ensure Partners are complying with Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance SLAs b) Ensure Partners are honoring the warranty claims, rectifying any field issues arising due to product faults on priority c) Support R&R team for revival of Battery Banks return from site and kept at warehouse 5. Process a) Ensure full adherence to laid down Sourcing policy & guidelines b) Support external and internal Audits i. Participate in opening and closing meeting ii. Explain and provide asked information to external & Internal Auditors iii. Ensure expeditious closure of identified gaps, if any c) Monitor contracts, BGs etc, and ensure that they are getting extended well in advance d) Ensure partners are complying with statutory requirements 6. Business Partner Relationship Management a) Participate in key partner relationship management activities such as Contract Governance Meeting, partner visits, partner discussions etc. b) Ensure fulfillment of key requirements by partner from Indus (e.g. timely payments and advance information sharing) c) Resolve partner concerns through Payment Concern Room or Suppliers concern Room d) Ensure improvement in PSAT (Partner Satisfaction) Score
