We have the following vacancy:

1. Manager-Strategic Marketing: Keeping in view the tremendous growth potential in its product categories, this is a new position being created in the Marketing Team. The incumbent will report to Head-Strategic Marketing and be a key member of the marketing team. The key dimensions of the position are Brand Ideation, Conceptualisation, Innovation & Positioning. The position would be a support to the Sales & Activation functions. The position would involve field travel to rural markets around 25% of the time.

a) KRAs:

- Define the brand positioning and conceptualize the brand building roadmap for respective business categories

- Establish the organisation's Customer-Contact initiatives

- Enhance the marketing capability of the organization and establish best-in-class marketing systems/ processes.

- Develop and drive a customer-insight led customer engagement strategy towards achieving the organisation’s vision to be the “Best Company in the eyes of our Customers”

- Work closely with the business category teams on strategic marketing initiatives with medium-long term implication

- Complement the organisation’s strong products / technologies with best in class marketing standards to achieve business success

- Set up marketing processes and support systems around Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Brand Communication / Promotion

- Enhance capabilities and set up ways of working for key marketing resources

b) Job Profile:

1. Brand building strategy

For each of the mother brands of respective business categories, work closely with the category teams, global product management & customer strategy team towards:

- Defining/ reviewing the customer segmentation/ positioning.

- Developing/ continuously upgrading brand experience manuals. Conceptualizing brand signature program and strategic customer loyalty/ advocacy programs.

- Developing/ monitoring/ continuously updating the brand building roadmap.

2. Customer-Contact Initiatives

Define the positioning of the services brand.

- Integration into the business mother brand.

- Differentiate the service vis-a-vis other service offerings.

Generate demand and thus drive enrolments to the service offering platform.

3. Excellence in Marketing

- Develop expertise in marketing communications by participating in external marketing forums and networking with marketing experts from other industries.

- Co-develop key campaigns for the season for each of the businesses along with the category managers and MSMs. Evaluate effectiveness of the key campaigns and set up/ update a knowledge management system to capture the learnings.

- Enhance capabilities and set up ways of working for key marketing resources in the sales and marketing functions.

- Work closely with the global product management and marketing team on specific marketing initiatives of global relevance.

- Ensure synergies and sharing of best practices across businesses.

- Set up/ update a marketing communications calendar for each of the business units. This would align crop season for respective regions to the marketing communication delivery phases.

- Develop marketing partnerships with aligned public/ private companies to increase the reach, improve cost efficiencies and enhance effectiveness of marketing activities.

c) Candidate Profile: MBAs from premier/good institutes or PGs in Mass Communication with 5 - 7 years experience in reputed multinational / large Indian advertising agencies in Account Planning, Brand-Innovation/Building. Preferably with some in marketing communication. Must have exposure to fmcg brands having rural sales, rural brands and/or rural markets.
