We are seeking a qualified and experienced Store Officer/Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our manufacturing unit's store. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations. The Store Officer/Manager will be responsible for ensuring the availability of raw materials and finished goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain optimum levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize losses and ensure accurate records.
Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective replenishment of stock.
- Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms and conditions.
- Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements.
Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods.
- Implement and enforce safety and security procedures within the warehouse.
- Optimize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
Coordination with Production and Logistics:
- Liaise with production teams to understand material requirements and production schedules.
- Coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Ensure smooth flow of materials to support production without interruptions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory movements.
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, consumption patterns, and other relevant metrics.
- Prepare reports for management and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in store management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
