Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for deliverables, quality, efficiency and process improvements.
- Perform review of audit work performed by professionals.
- Interact with rotational or engagements teams for clarification, review, process improvement, escalation of process related issues
- Engage with ETs/champions to develop extended engagement teams and increase GDC utilization
- Work closely with Industry Leads to standardize and define industry audit procedures as part of GDC's service offering.
- Evangelize application of Data and Analytics to audit procedures as part of GDC's eData Solution Center
- Plan and organize the work flow on daily basis for optimal team utilization
- Provide regular update regarding process, policies, etc to team members.
- Ensure training manuals/ industry templates are up to date and all process changes are recorded in GDC Manual as required.
- Regularly meet with Senior Associates and solve the issues related to Quality, Process, People, etc or escalate to management.
- Responsible for appraisal process, ensure it is timely completed and proper feedback is given to team members on a quarterly basis.
- Organize or conduct trainings for new hires and experienced professionals on audit and accounting concepts, KPMG's Audit Methodology (KAM)
- Participate in hiring the brightest talent for GDC
- Work towards making GDC an - Employer of Choice- inculcating a sense of pride and higher purpose in GDC professionals.
- Ensure compliance to GDC's Independence and Risk Management standards.
Qualifications and Skills :
Educational Requirements :
- Chartered Accountant from ICAI and/or CPA(USA)
Or
- CFA
Or
CIMA
Experience and Background :
The candidate should have prior experience in Audit domain and should have proven experience in service delivery, process improvements and operational excellence. S/he should have:
- 6-9 years of post-qualification experience (6-8 years if s/he is a Big 4 Article or 7-9 years if s/he is a non-Big 4 Article)
- Experience/Article ship with Big 4/leading Audit firms or their shared service center
- Proven People Management skills (Will be required to manage 50+ professionals indirectly)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong project management skills
- Proven ability to handle stakeholder relationships in a shared services organization will be an added advantage
