Job Description of a Statistician

- Design Statistical Sampling Techniques for Statistical Sampling Process.

- Create models and algorithms that turn numbers into useful information and tools

- Design experiments and analyze experimental data for product testing or help inform marketing strategies.

- Process data using computers for graphic analysis and statistical modeling.

- Responsible for identifying trends and relationships within the data for their clients.

- Determine data's validity to account for inaccuracies or sampling errors.

- Report results of their statistical analysis using graphs, charts, and tables for specific projects.

Requirements :

- Expertise in test and create sampling techniques, experimental designs, and analytical methods.

- Bachelors/Masters degree usually includes Statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or other quantitative field classes.

- A degree in statistics may include courses such as linear algebra, calculus, experimental design, survey methodology, probability, and statistical theory.

- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in either R or Python

- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL

- Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems, clearly communicate findings and propose solutions that address expressed needs

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences at a variety of organizational levels
