Statistician - IIT/MIT

Qualification- Engineering from IIT & MIT or Post-Graduation – MSc or MA (Maths / Economics/Statistics) from Premier Institute

Location: Bangalore

3+ yrs of Overall experience.

- Conduct complex statistical analysis under the supervision of a Senior Statistician

- Conduct routine data extractions and statistical model validations with no supervision of tasks; a review of output by a Senior Statistician

- Analysis across credit, fraud and insurance arenas

- Develop processes for repeatable tasks, such as data extraction, reporting and standard statistical validations

- Complex data extractions from multiple platforms as required for analytical projects

- Integrate diverse data sources into solutions

- Generate ways to solve analytical problems creatively and efficiently; review with Senior Statistician

- Ensure quality deliverables for all work performed by checking process followed and thinking through the output to ensure it makes business sense

- Perform audits surrounding implementation of products and analytic solutions

- Perform QA analysis on solutions developed by other statisticians

- Create detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each solution

Skill Set/Experience - Must have

- Ability to understand complex analytical solutions

- Strong knowledge of credit bureau data and the business problems in financial services

- Ability to clearly explain work done to other team members

- Ability to create new ideas for new analytical scenarios presented

- Experience building logistic and linear regression solutions, knowledge of alternative methodologies preferred

- Experience with SAS and with UNIX environment
