Vice President - Marketing & Sales Support The VP, Marketing and Sales Support, is a senior role within the SSGA Bangalore office. This role will include overall management of the Sales support teams including RFP and DDQ team, Consultant Database Management team, Client Presentations team, Knowledge/Content Management team, Sales Enablement Tools & Analytics, as well as Marketing Support functions including Creative/Graphic design team, Marketing Production team, Marketing Communications and Marketing Content Management team. The primary objective for this role is to help the firm win business by enabling the sales and marketing support teams to produce the best sales and marketing materials. Details of various functions : Client Response team : - Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ- s) in partnership with Relationship Managers, Sales Representatives, Product Specialists and Subject Matter Experts Consultant Databases : - Update all State Street firm, strategy, and fund information across 15+ databases (eVestment, Mercer, Callan, and Morningstar, others) on a monthly and quarterly basis Client Service Presentations : - Create client presentations by partnering with Sales people, SME and Compliance. Presentations include sales pitch books, client reviews, consultant reviews, and conference materials Content Management : - Maintain, update and enhance content used for client-facing documents (RFP, pitch books and other) including accuracy, readability and positioning to help the firm win business. Sales Enablement Tools & Analytics Support team : - Responsibility for user support & development of the firm's global CRM tool (Salesforce), marketing automation tool (Marketo) and Business Intelligence & data analytics platform (Tableau). Marketing Support function : - Produce and support to create marketing collaterals, brochure, flyers, People Biography & Data Base etc., and ensure to work in line with our SSGA Brand Guidelines. Publish articles and Publications Marketing materials & Collaterals on SSGA.com, Intranet and SPDRS websites. Core Responsibilities : - In this role, you will oversee specialized teams that provide business development support across various asset classes, strategies & vehicles working in close collaboration with other global hubs and locations of State Street Global Advisors. - Ensure that all teams in Bangalore serve as a strong global business development partner, by creating compelling, differentiated and best in class sales content, serving as a source of strategic marketing intelligence, insuring appropriate controls and review of content, and providing a smooth client facing experience. - Liaising and working closely with SSGA's global functional heads is central to this role. - Understanding and measuring outcomes is key to the success of this role. - Familiarity with the firm's investment solutions including asset classes ranging from equities to fixed income to alternatives to investment solutions across the passives to active spectrum is extremely important in order to promote focus products - Understanding the institutional market including corporates, public funds, endowments, defined contribution plans and charitable asset management clients - Support key distribution partners in the institutional, intermediary and consultant teams at SSGA. - Ensuring and taking responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of product info and data - Create dashboards, metrics, reporting on process accomplishments on a quarterly and monthly basis to regularly communicate goals and progress. Ideal Qualifications : - 15+ years financial/investment experience with knowledge of investment products and Industry - Demonstrated expertise in a Sales support or Marketing support function at a multi- product investment management firm. - Experience managing multi-stakeholder deliverables including timelines, individual responsibilities, quality control and deadlines. - MBA, CFA or pursuing the CFA designation - Strong oral and written communication skills - Ability to demonstrate initiative and apply creative thinking to problems and systems/process enhancements - Ability to build internal relationships with key information providers and stakeholders. - Manages teams of Client Service officers/AVPs, overseeing/directing activity and providing experienced guidance - Works closely with internal management teams to ensure an effective operating environment. Works with senior management keeping them informed of new developments, service issues, and new business/cross sell opportunities. - In conjunction with more senior management, develops, recommends and executes business unit plans
