CoE-Treasury - Data Scientist - Senior Associate  As a Data Scientist on our Quantitative Analytics team, you will take a lead role planning, developing, and applying leading edge insights to enhance our data model and help modelers and internal clients make informed decisions with respect to changes in liquidity, interest rate risk, income, and capital, in both baseline and stress conditions. Key responsibilities include:   - Leverage extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of advanced data management methods and algorithms, understanding their utility and in different problem domains, and evaluating pitfalls  - Bring the most advanced quantitative and statistical techniques to bear on complex financial data challenges to support modeling of mortgage and other asset prepayment risk, yield curve dynamics, deposit behavior, and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) dynamics and time series based stress testing  - Innovate & find creative ways to source & leverage structured & unstructured data, and big data technologies to support modeling efforts  - Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including such areas as data sourcing/collection, mapping, normalization, and transformation  - Write concise technical documentation, presenting & defending results to independent Model Validation team, senior management, and regulators  - Lead projects with the information technology professionals to document business requirements and to ensure methodologies are accurately implemented in production systems  - Lead the development of new data visualization tools and ports for modeler/business use.  Education and Experience:   - PhD degree in quantitative discipline OR Masters in Mathematics,Statistics etc  - 6 -10 years advanced quantitative data management with strong credentials and experience in database management and data visualization, and advanced programming proficiency in R, SAS, Matlab, Python and SQL   Skills/ Knowledge:  - Aptitude/experience in large, complex financial institutions, with strong knowledge of global financial systems and markets and product knowledge across rates and structured credit and/or advanced regression and other time series econometric techniques to analyze revenue streams. Knowledge of newer banking regulations preferred  - Successful candidates will be curious independent thinkers who are excited by data challenges, have a track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns, but can also deliver outcomes in a timely fashion, leveraging sound judgment, to balance analysis effort vs incremental improvement   - Exemplary project management and time management skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects  - Ability to communicate complex concepts to broad audiences, with strong verbal and written communication skills
