Job Title: AVP, First Line of Defense (FLOD)
Role Summary -
State Street is seeking a senior manager within its First Line of Defense team based in India.
Key Responsibilities -
Organisational / Operations
- Drive and/or support global and/or regional initiatives through adequate project management.
- Co-ordinate with various business leads / teams onshore and offshore to ensure strategic alignment.
- Oversee all management information and reporting in the region, present in-depth analytics to the senior management for strategic decision making.
- Identify and provide strategic solutions to the business problems or operational issues.
- Lead benchmarking efforts across the operations through the suitable models.
- Strategically lead business review meetings across various groups and drive corporate objectives and management mandates.
- Develop in depth knowledge and understanding of State Street operations in the region.
- At all times, proactively identify issues / concerns and intimate senior management through regular reporting mechanism.
- Ensure timely and accurate creation and review of various MI & reporting.
- Create analytical report and presentations as required, highlighting trends and identifying potential issues.
- Develop solutions by employing timely, rigorous and logical analysis.
- Build and manage flow of information/data to ensure an accurate output.
- Plan and execute various governance projects related to the Joint ventures.
- Critically review all performance metrics and reporting for completeness and utility.
- Attend and participate in business review meetings, identify issues and facilitate resolution.
- Independently assess an issue and ensure relevant teams are addressing it.
- Escalate matters to the right stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Design, develop and maintain standard documentation for senior management meetings.
- Deliver all assigned projects and tasks in timely and accurate manner.
- Take prompt actions based on business needs wherever needed.
- Manage, motivate, develop and retain a team, which delivers exceptional and qualitative service.
Experience / Qualification / Key Skills / Attributes -
- Financial services, banking operations experience is an advantage
- Possess good knowledge / experience with various analytical tools, including excel.
- Ability to participate in and contribute at a strategic level to all facets of the business; understands the role and inter-relationships of each organisational function (eg. operations, products, technology, finance, human resources etc); have experience and proven skill in managing across functional and organisational lines; brings own area of expertise to the table.
- Understand strategic/business plan; ability to set strategic direction for areas of responsibility and ensure goals/objectives are aligned with those of the business.
- Possess some of knowledge of
