Dharma Life is an award-winning social enterprise that equips, trains and mentors young people in rural villages to become social entrepreneurs and sell a range of products and services that benefit the wider community.   Reporting to the Head of Sales, in this role you will responsible for expanding our rural network across Karnataka and Kerala. It will be your role to manage state teams and coordinate efforts to empower village-level entrepreneurs to become socio-economic change-agents across their communities. As part of this you will be driving all channel partnerships, strategy and financial management for the region. You will play an integral part of our team, helping us reach our 2020 vision of building a 100,000 strong network of Dharma Life entrepreneurs.  Target salary : Range is 7-12L CTC based on previous experience and subject to customary increases on joining  Location : Based in Bangalore, with frequent travel across rural Karnataka & Kerala  Detailed Responsibilities :   Before we start, here is some of the lingo: Within Dharma Life, this State Head role is defined as the Area Channel Manager (ACM). You will be managing a team of Enterprise Leaders (ELs), who in-turn will be the first point of contact for our rural network of Dharma Life Entrepreneurs (DLEs).   - Identify, train and develop Enterprise Leaders (ELs) to maximize their impact on the ground with Dharma Life Entrepreneurs (DLEs)  - Identify and develop new Enterprise Leaders (ELs), and in turn support ELs to identify and expand the Dharma Life Entrepreneurs (DLE) network  - Train ELs to understand Dharma Life's business and provide them support and knowledge to work independently with DLEs  - Support ELs in strengthening village-level entrepreneurship by ensuring training and development of DLEs  Drive channel partnerships and negotiations :   - Manage and develop our existing network of business/channel partners  - Identify and explore new channels partnership opportunities to enhance market penetration and reach  - Drive negotiates with distributors to increase visibility of our products and overall sales  Execution of strategic planning and financial management for the region :  - Deliver strategic channel sales that result in Dharma Life meeting its social and business objectives  - Build a diversified product and service portfolio focused on high margins and a high quality value proposition to entrepreneurs and customers  - Deliver efficient financial management with established objectives, plans, budget, finance, accounting, and commercial policies  Does this sounds like you :   Extensive industry and regional experience :  - 4-8 years of professional experience  - Experience from top organisations in FMCG, consumer goods or service sectors  - At least 3+ of direct experience across rural sales  - Post graduate in management from a premier school  - Local knowledge and a strong local network across Karnataka & Kerala  A natural innovator, with a strong track-record of leading a team to deliver results :  - High performing multi-tasker who is comfortable managing multiple projects  - Proven track record of successfully building and managing a team  - Strong analytical ability to solve problems and make decisions  - A proactive go-getter who enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven  A dynamic collaborator and communicator, who can switch between coaching vs. negotiating :  - Extensive experience coaching, mentoring and motivating teams  - A dynamic professional with excellent business sense and strong negotiation skills   - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations  A proficient communicator in English, Kannada and Malayalam  Comfortable with regular travel to remote rural locations and passionate about working for bottom of the pyramid consumers  About Dharma Life :  Dharma Life (www.dharmalife.in) is an award-winning business that is driving sustainable economic growth in rural India.
