Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance - Assistant/Deputy Manager - Risk Management

We are open to look at people from Tier 1 / Tier 2 B school 2019 / 2020 / 2021 batch, candidates who are keen to build their career in Financial Risk.

Objective :

- Develop & maintain effective Risk management in the Organization.

- To ensure monitoring and control of risk exposures

- Risk Management: Be part of the team & contribute to:

- Support the reporting manager in enhancing the quality of discussions and risk-based decision making which goes into Risk and key committees such as Risk management Committee & Investment Committee.

- Ensure that the capital and risk appetite framework (across all risk types) are aligned with the risk strategy and are used in decision-making.

- Pro-actively providing oversight of aggregated risk profile monitoring through the review and challenge of risk exposure against appetite, trends and the identification of material changes in risk profile and emerging risks.

- Analysis of key financial matrices such as VaR, profit, solvency, ALM etc.

- Perform financial risk reviews for Market Risk (equity and Interest Rate), Liquidity risk, Credit risk etc. Monitor risk limits and ensure investments are aligned with Investment Risk Policy

- Data analysis in order to detect portfolio trends which cause significant changes in the capital or are not within the Risk Appetite.

- Preparing a presentation for ALM Committee and Risk Management Committee meetings

- Strong quantitative, quantitative analytical, problem-solving skills logical and critical thinking.

- Reasonable understanding of Financial Risk Management, ERM frameworks, knowledge of the Life Insurance Company's products, financials and risk appetite methodologies.

- Hands on experience in MS-Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

- Should possess excellent communication, collaboration and relationship management skills with ability to work in a matrix environment across functional lines as a team player.

- Degree in Financial/Risk (MBA/CA/CFA/FRM)

- 1 to 3 Year Work experience in Insurance preferred

- Preferred coding skills (Excel macros -VBA/ R Software / Power BI)
