Its channel portfolio includes Star Gold, Channel [V], Star World, Star World Premiere HD, Star Movies, Star Utsav, Life OK, Movies OK and Star Plus, India's No. 1, General Entertainment Channel. The network has leading presence in regional broadcasting as well through a bouquet of affiliate channels which includes Star Jalsha, Star Pravah, Asianet, Asianet Plus, Suvarna and Vijay.

STAR India is a fully owned subsidiary of 21st Century Fox.

Job Responsibilities :

- Design & deliver marketing campaigns for channel shows

- Develop strong consumer understanding & shape show communication based on the same

- Shape iconic characters

- Responsible for show related communication (both On Air & Off Air) - ideation


- Responsible for supporting new concept creation and development of new ideas

- Work closely with the On-Air Promotion team to ensure quality & consistency in all the communication

- Manage PR for the shows handled with special focus on the key points and highlights of the show

- Study trends, markets, specific TG's and shows on competition

- Analyze channel performance closely based on BARC, and making recommendations to programming with the aim to build strong characters and boost channel ratings

- Think out of box solution & drive innovation from a fresh perspective for shows handled

- Support effective monetization by collaborating with stakeholders

- Build strategic partnerships & drive agency relationships

Requirement :

- MBA-marketing with 10-12 yrs work experience in Television marketing. A background in TV is a must requirement for this role.

Knowledge :

- Understanding of the Hindi Speaking entertainment market

- Strong understanding of marketing concepts, strategy and best practices

- Strong consumer understanding

- Comfortable with numbers and analysis and making sense of them for marketing decisions

- Creative ability balanced with capability to analyze and comprehend numbers


- Good balance of left and right brain thinking

Personality :

- High energy, assertive and ability to deal with multiple stakeholders, engage comfortably with senior management

- Can work in tight timelines, under pressure and in extremely dynamic environment

- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

- Eye for detail and a sense of good creativity

- Capable team leader


- Build and develop a marketing team which is competent, commercially astute, and creative.

- Proactive in approach
