Context:
The Consumer Insights and Analytics Manager utilizes primary research and analytics to develop a deep understanding of the users (current and future) of our digital assets and acts as their passionate advocate to ensure we enhance our long and short term business outcomes. This is a brand new role to support the tremendous growth and opportunity supporting the digital business for Star India.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan:
- Supports the business by proactively gathering and establishing the customer insights needs based on input from internal stakeholders. Develops analytic plans and reporting approaches to meet such needs
- Works independently to arrive at the optimal research approach for each project and is able to advocate for that plan with the business
- Assesses each research initiative with a critical eye to ensure that it provides incremental learning, actionable insights and a positive and meaningful ROI.
- Knows both when to recommend research and when to recommend against research
Execute:
- Manages the ongoing brand tracking study
- Effectively manages relationship with external research vendors
- Ensures regular and ad hoc analyses and reports are delivered on time and with data accuracy
Analyze:
- Works closely with vendors to analyze data and extract meaningful and actionable insights
- Hands-on using one of the statistical software packages (i.e. SPSS, SAS, R)
Champion:
- Engages teams proactively to identify issues, risks and opportunities
- Influences internal stakeholders both directly and indirectly through the application of customer insights
- Engages in compelling business story-telling to ensure insights inspire business action
- Provides meaningful and actionable recommendations to the business team based on customer insights

Qualification:
- Broad experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies and techniques (6 + years)
- Marketing research project management, including data analysis, interpretation, survey design and implementation and report writing (6+ years)
- Experience translating business needs into research strategies (6+years)
- MBA or Masters in Statistics
Knowledge And Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical and competitive evaluation and synthesis
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Ability to translate key learning and insights into actionable business strategies
- Ability to present complicated analytical material in a concise and compelling manner
- Expertise in media performance metrics, syndicated research products, research design, and methodologies.
- Experience using research tools like comScore, Nielsen, and eMarketer, as well as social media analytics systems.
