Distribution is the key to ensuring monetization of the revenue stream of distribution of Star's bouquet of channels through partners like MSOs, Digital and Analog cable operators and DTH. After the dismantling of Media Pro, Star India has brought carriage and the distribution of its sports and entertainment television channels under one roof.
The Distribution and marketing Strategy team ensures the revenue strategy, trade marketing, pricing planning and packaging strategies for the network sales teams.
This role as part of the Distribution Strategy & Marketing for the Cable revenue business, is responsible for :
- Current Business Analysis & Strategy Planning
- Conceptualizing new opportunities through 360 degree research and consulting approach
Key Resposibilities :
Annual Budgeting & Monitoring :
- Organize annual Cable budget and revenue monetization framework
Revenue Analysis :
- Budgeting & Revenue analysis
- Monitoring revenue leakages
- Improving process to enhance smooth approval & implementation management
- Interaction for driving revenue goals
Distributor analysis :
- Distributor work flow analysis
- Suggest an optimally feasible strategy & schemes to be implemented
Competition Analysis :
- Develop the key critical research sources
- Gather important competition information related to dealers, customers & sales force & business
Project management :
- Handling Inter-departmental communication with Sales, Legal, Finance and Operation team
- Controlling and follow-ups for deadlines
- Follow-ups with sales/Distributors those who are partnered for the project
- Idea generation, coordinating with vendors on deliverables
Qualification : MBA / PGDBM in Marketing / Finance (Premier Institutes Only) with 7-10 yrs. experience
