Lead the analytics for Star’s digital user base of more than a million consumers by working within digital network team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies, develops and delivers key analytics and reports that are descriptive, prescriptive and persuasive in nature
- Partners with various team members to design and define performance metrics and goals. Leads initiatives to help drive development of performance management processes, measuring systems and reporting capabilities.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve SEM & SEO performance and digital marketing efficiency, and assist the digital team in implementing improvements.
- Provide business support, quantitative understanding and a strategic perspective to all the internal stakeholders for the digital business.
- As the analytics expert help the team make better business decisions, give inputs into the product usability, content consumption as well as the efficacy of marketing campaigns.
- Evaluate newer analytics platforms for the site and make recommendations on industry best practices.
- Should have a technical understanding so that you can take charge right from setting the right requirements based on internal KPIs and work with technical teams for the analytic implementation.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline
- 8-12 years analytics experience in a large news website, leading portal or ecommerce site
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Strong background of working on analytical tools like SAS,SQL etc.
- Demonstrable experience hands-on experience with any of the web analytics tools such as Omniture Site Catalyst, WebTrends, Coremetrics, Google Analytics etc.
- Experience extracting insights for improving online marketing channels, such as SEM, SEO, banner advertising, meta channels, etc.
- Conduct independent dives into key business issues, resulting in actionable, insightful and impactful findings
