Role : Sr. Vice President - Investment banking (Technology and outsourcing)

Role Context

Why does this role exist-

This role is for increasing Coverage and execution for Technology and Digital CF practice

Will this role have subordinates, if yes, then what is the team size and designation of the subordinates

Yes. This role will have subordinates and a team of 2-3.

Will this role manage client engagements, if yes, what kind and with what independence

Yes. This role will manage Client engagements independently. They will manage it with help of seniors. The jobholder will be responsible along with his/ her supervisor to drive take lead new client relationships and deal originations

Will this role have authority to take decisions, if yes, on what aspects and to what degree

Yes. This role will have the authority to take decisions. High on day to day matters but would normally require consulting a partner on key decisions.

Key Tasks the individual in this role will perform

What will be the main priorities

- Strengthening the practice in terms of market share. To be recognized as vital face to the market for the practice.

- Deal origination in Technology and Digital verticals in areas such as deal structuring, mergers & acquisitions, private equity

- Developing the eco system

- Independently leading the transaction until closure (client visits, meetings, bilateral discussions, commercial negotiations, due-diligence, transaction closure agreements)

- Franchise building: leading the relationship with Nasscom, VC circle and other cross border agencies and developing thought leadership papers

- Leading the team of associates and analysts to ensure execution excellence

Skills and Requirements

Education Qualification, attempts, marks if any

- Qualified CA (cleared in 1st attempt)/MBA from Premier Institute

- If CA rank in final will be an added advantage

- Strong knowledge of financial, valuation concepts and Business Models

- CFA (completed or ongoing) could be an added advantage

Knowledge and Skills

- Strong academic background.

- Technology industry knowledge, depth in reviewing valuation models and designing deal structures

- Reasonably good technical ability and logical reasoning.

- Ability to work under pressure

- Should have clear thought process

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Good knowledge of MS PPT and Excel

- Should be a self-starter and Methodical

Previous work experience in what kind of companies and for how many years

10-12 years of post qualification experience in Investment banking undertaking TMT Coverage Critical Success Attributes
