Sr. VP - Audit

I represent Quest Consultants (www.questconsultants.in), one of India's oldest and most reputed Executive Selection and Search Companies. Quest was founded by IIT, IIM graduates in 1982 and it operates out of Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

Our client is a large and well-respected Business House of India having diverse interests globally with strong Indian roots. The Group operates in the areas of Automobiles, Real Estate, Mining, Oil & Lubricants, Healthcare, Power, Media, IT & BPO, Trading, etc. The Group is Headquartered in London.

One of its Listed companies operating in the Engineering Space has entrusted us with the selection of the Head of Internal Audit for its Global Operations.

Qualifications: First rate Chartered Accountant

Experience:

At least 18 years of experience having his foundation in the Big 4 public accounting firms followed by Industry stints in large public listed organizations.

- Strong familiarity with SEC rules and SOX related requirements principles, internal controls and compliance.

- Significant experience in developing, testing and assessing internal controls. IFRS knowledge preferred.

- Experience in building and structuring an audit function to support business/strategic objectives.

- Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with all members of the senior management team, as well as staff, external auditors, regulators, and others.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make presentations to senior management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

The role:

The incumbent will head the Internal Audit function not only for India but also for other Global geographies where the company operates. He will lead the Company's global internal operational and financial audit function and will be in-charge of conducting annual and continuous risk assessments.

The position is also responsible for planning, performing, reporting and following up on financial, operational and information systems audits. The purpose of these audits is to review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the Company's systems and processes, reliability of financial reporting, compliance with Company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and the safeguarding of assets for the Company.

Reporting :

He will be directly responsible to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and will work closely with the Group's Corporate Governance Cell.

Location - Mumbai
