Job Title : Senior Analyst
Work Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 3 - 7 Years
Key job responsibilities :
- The professional needs to research, analyze, support, and write sections of thought leadership in the Energy & Resources industry, primarily in the Oil & Gas (O&G) sector.
The professional will be required to:
- Demonstrate solid O&G sector knowledge and basic understanding of Power & Utilities sector.
- Exhibit strong understanding of the U.S. market and industry dynamics.
- Propose research topics and ideas in the O&G industry.
- Provide support in designing research proposal and formulating research plan.
- Apply established research tools and methodologies (e.g., analyzing big data, doing statistical analysis, using case studies, undertaking academic review, etc.) to support business decision-making.
- Write sections of reports targeted at the executive audience based on insights and findings from the studies.
- Conduct in-depth, complex data analysis to form or validate the hypotheses.
- Demonstrate strong writing and engaging presentation skills.
Key skills :
- Prior exposure to business research/thought leadership in O&G sector; research experience in P&U sector would be an added advantage.
- Experience in one or more of the following research methods: Forecasting/simulation, statistical analysis, text analysis, writing short case lettes, academic review, and social media research.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure to working in teams, including virtual teams.
- Knowledge of online databases like Bloomberg, SNL, EnergyAcuity, Hoovers, Factiva, One Source, Thomson, etc.
- Understanding of strategy models and frameworks.
- Highly developed personal and professional ethics.
- An ability to build professional relationships, a spirit of co-operation, and a flexible approach to work are required.
- Experience in working with US clients is a plus. Since the job requires significant coordination with US colleagues, the ability to network with US counterparts is important.
