Able to understand and appreciate different and opposing perspectives on an issue, to adapt an approach as the requirements of a situation change, and to change or easily accept changes in one's own organisation or job requirements  Key Accountabilities:  - To lead / support the development and management of relationships with key potential partners, as appropriate, and negotiate on partnership agreements  - To lead / support the development and management of relationships with private sector funders, and liaise with Editorial, Fair Trading and other relevant teams in the UK  - To carry out donor and partner mapping to ensure our business development activities are strategic and prioritised  - To establish and maintain systems for programme development which provide accurate and timely information on funding opportunities  - To liaise closely with the London-based Asia team, other country teams, and the Programme Development team to ensure maximum business development synergy and multi-country cooperation.  Knowledge And Skills Required:  - Between 7 and 12 years- overall experience in media and communications with local and/or international organizations, with increasing degrees of responsibility  - Proven recent and relevant experience of influencing donors and other stakeholders  - A high standard of presentation skills, both oral and written  - Excellent written English skills together with excellent interpersonal skills  - Ability to formulate and design projects and project budgets appropriate to programme ambitions, which fulfil donor requirements  - Proven organisational skills with a methodical approach to a varied and busy workload, with an attention to detail  - Flexibility and good prioritisation skills to work successfully under pressure and to tight deadlines  - Highly motivated with an ambition to succeed, a capacity for hard work, speed and accuracy  - Enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team and with other departments  - Ability to remain tactful, patient, courteous and calm under pressure  - Experience of writing proposals and designing projects within the development sector, with knowledge of priorities and processes of several major donors and foundations.
