Our client is an American multinational software company , that provides server and desktop virtualization, networking, software-as-a-service, and cloud computing technologies.

Position title: Sr. Product Manager

Job Description:

- The Sr. Product Manager will own all audio-video related technologies including, for example, MULTIMEDIA STREAMING and technologies for UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS.

- The Sr. PM will also own USB technologies and Local App Access. Specific responsibilities will evolve over time.

- The Sr. PM is responsible for defining and driving product strategy for next generation desktop and application virtualization features and products.

- The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for product strategy and planning, guiding the Engineering team, establishing roadmap priorities, business case preparation, documenting use cases, defining requirements, and driving the introduction of new products/features while evangelizing current product capabilities and supporting the geo Field Readiness and Product Management teams.

- The candidate must have a strong background in multimedia and/or unified communications technologies. Expertise with products such as Microsoft Lync and Cisco Unified Communications Manager and familiarity with the market landscape would be highly relevant.

- Knowledge of network technologies including protocols and firewall traversal will also be valuable.

- The candidate must have solid experience in software development methodology such as agile development, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with software engineers both in writing (e.g. use cases and product requirements) and verbally.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

- Create and execute of end-to-end product strategies and lifecycles, and clearly communicate to stakeholders throughout the organization

- Conduct market validation activities, such as customer prospect interviews and market analysis as part of new product or feature planning.

- Validate product plans against research results and make in-depth strategic recommendations based on seasoned judgment regarding roadmap to senior management. These activities will spread across multiple product lines and the Product Manager will coordinate these activities.

- Lead the company product process involved from conception to release for all major and minor launches, with emphasis on interactions within the Research and Development department.

- Guide the R&D teams in understanding overall product strategy as it applies to multiple products /product lines.

- Drive and own the product requirements process across multiple product lines while working collaboratively with key stakeholders to prioritize and validate technology, features, product direction and strategy.

- Drive initiatives to place decision making close to the customer, using feedback to inform tactical and strategic decisions.

- Drive cross team analysis and sharing of data.

- Conducts focused market and customer research regarding product acceptance, usage and success and integrate results directly into the product strategy.

- Develop a deep and broad understanding of the product technologies.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

- Strong grasp of technologies in at least two of the following areas: AUDIO/VIDEO (multimedia, including codecs, container formats), UNIFIED COMMUNICATION (softphone technologies, video conferencing), and peripheral devices (printers, USB devices, etc.).

- Experience with planning and management of product life cycle.

- Experience documenting research findings, market analysis and product requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Demonstrated ability to be both strategic and hands-on.

- Experience presenting to wide ranging audiences, including internal stakeholders, Webinars, trainings, customer visits, trade shows and industry events.

- Coordinate readiness activities with other internal groups.

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, Experience)

- Bachelor's degree in technology/engineering and/or business-related field(s).

- 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering or technical Product Marketing.

- Experience with management of product launches.

- Contribution to product collateral and white papers, able to present technical information to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.
