Sr Product Manager - Mobile

Team: Customer Experience

The mobile product manager in India is responsible for working with the worldwide team to bring world-class mobile shopping experiences to Indian customers. Focused on mobile commerce, the product manager would support mobile browser experiences across platforms and shopping applications (apps) on Smartphone and mobile computing platforms including Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone, and Kindle Fire.

The ideal candidate would have an understanding of the global mobile commerce trends with an eye on the local complexities.

The position is located in Bangalore, India, and reports into the international retail team's product management group.

Focus and deliverables:

As the Product Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

- Defining a world-class customer experience that bridges the online and mobile channels

- Identifying, prioritizing and implementing India specific improvement opportunities across mobile web and apps

- Working with the global mobile teams to drive customizations and roll out of global experience in India

- Benchmark competitive mobile experiences; and define and implement a roadmap of improvements

Ideal candidate profile:

- An ideal candidate profile may include experiences of working on mobile specific initiatives in retail or other industries.

- The mobile PM is a passionate customer advocate and has a deep understanding of the importance of mobile for online retailing in India. To that end, he or she must be able to develop a clear strategy and business rationale for enhancement to and expansion of different features and functionalities.

- Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements

- Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade- offs Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value

- Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
