The Below Mentioned Position is with an FMCG Giant Based at Bangalore. (CTC Offered- 35 Lacs Pa)

This Position is at Sr. Manager Level as per the Organisational Hierarchy.

Within his/her portfolio scope (as above), the Global Process and Licensing Manager (SAM) has the following accountabilities:

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Define and own Software Policy and keep it relevant; continued user education/awareness; drive its implementation globally across all business clusters

- Define and manage the process framework for Software Asset Management and integration with other IT/ES processes

- Maintain close relationship with Geography IT teams and Innovation leads via the local software license coordinators

- Diectly work with project/programme managers within ES to provide support and consulting on licence costs and commercially optimal methods of licensing

- Accountable for producing and managing SAM service line KPIs

- Manage the relationship with global software resellers and closely work with procurement to optimise the purchasing activities

- Maintain specialised supplier licensing knowledge and act as CoE for (Client Name); Create and lead a community of practice for Software Asset Management within (Client Name) and using this to leverage internal and external knowledge to deliver a better understanding of the market.

- Manage & maintain effective license position for all software in use, globally, and associated compliance

- Maintain an yearly BAU plan of activity (process improvements, audits, data analysis, remediation)

- Collect Proof of Entitlement and approve small purchase requests globally

- Lead supplier initiated audits and ensure protection of Unilever interests

- Manage & maintain a global software catalogue (package approvals, reviews, additions, removals of software)

- Use Configuration Management system and associated procedures to ensure that appropriate records of all changes to IT assets within area of responsibility are accurately controlled and recorded.

- Initiates, organises and presents sound information and advice on issues such as maintenance of software assets, licensing of software, and legal obligations such as compliance with the Data Protection Act.

- Maintains familiarity with, and uses international standards such as ISO / IEC 19770-1 for software asset management; define strategy for SAM to obtain external accreditation

- Produces and analyses registers and histories of authorised IT assets, their valuation generated (for example) from data in the configuration management database (CMDB) and verifies that all the organisation’s authorised assets are in a known state and location, and that there are no unauthorised assets such as unlicensed copies of software.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage 6WL1 direct reports

Relevant Experience

Essential:

- Educated to bachelor degree level & ITIL certification

- Extensive experience in global organisation with similar industry, software asset management, and supplier/client relationship management focus.

- At least 10 years of experience in a truly global role working with a globally dispersed set of stakeholders and team members to deliver outstanding results

- Has in the past managed a software portfolio with complexity of thousands of unique software titles deployed across 100+ countries

- Demonstrable drive for excellence in end result under stressful situations and tight timelines

- Major’s on supplier licensing methodologies and is able to exploit these for organisations benefit. Relevant industry accreditation

- Exhibits strong people leadership skills in global environment

- Ability to resolve conflicts and ensure difficult message are landed with stakeholders

- Has comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of the organisation in the area of Software assets.

- Has extensive practical knowledge of the principles of quality management together with an understanding of the applicability of such principles to operation of information systems.

- Has sound commercial, organisational, time management, negotiation and staff management skills.

- Displays good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations.

- Has the experience and cultural awareness required to effectively manage aa global team.

Desirable:

- Possesses a good understanding of the business and commercial context of (Client Name) and good awareness of mercantile and contract law as this applies to the provision of software assets

- Has gained broad experience of in providing and maintaining software assets and has experience of managing projects, and of advising users and management on technical issues and how they impact upon the specific needs of a global organisation like (Client Name).

Key Skills:

- Business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance

- Software Licensing skills and relevant industry accreditations, ITIL advanced certification and process knowledge

- Strong project management skills

- Focus on IT Quality and delivery to meet client and IT business partner requirements

- Strong decision making skills, making decisions with limited information, taking calculated risks

- Strong execution skills; ability to follow through

- Stakeholder management skills, to manage relationships with multiple vendors, while ensuring delivery per standards

- Strong Interpersonal skills and influencing ability; ability to impact and influence customer and stakeholders

- Good People Management and Leadership skills to coach, develop and manage performance of team

- Ability to take accountability for results and demonstrate ownership
